Current Research Interests:
I investigate teaching, learning , advising, and mentoring processes and use the results of my research to create strategies that enable college students to adapt to their educational environment, acquire academic competence, identity and set goals , and achieve their career aspirations.
"I work hard to maintain my identity as a professional psychologist. I am an active member of several professional organizations, I review books for major publishing companies and manuscripts for a professional journal (Teaching of Psychology), and I perform research (primarily on the topic of the teaching/learning process) and report the results in journals, handbooks, newsletters, and at professional conferences. I love to collaborate with students, and I have co-authored many papers with students who have presented them at undergraduate research conferences."
