Please read The IUPUI Psychology Department's Undergraduate Curriculum to discover the answers to these crucial what, when, why, and how questions.
Degree Requirements
Our department offers both a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in psychology. Sample Four-Year Graduation Plans for a BS or a BA in Psychology
Once you have chosen your degree (BA or BS) and determined what courses you must take to complete it, the next step is to create a semester-by-semester plan to finish your degree. Please read the four-year plan listed below that corresponds to the year when you were accepted into the School of Science.

Many IUPUI psychology majors have job and/or family obligations that prevent them from taking the 15-16 hours per semester that are required to graduate in four chronological years. The Psychology Department has created a Four-Year Fast Track Plan for a BA in Psychology for these students that enables them to graduate in four years by taking a reduced class load during their fall and spring semesters and enrolling in summer school classes.
General Requirements for Graduation

Honors Programs
Several other documents answer questions about graduation requirements. The first answers the question, "Does the Psychology Department have an Honors Program?" The answer to that question is a definite YES, and the information you will need to understand our program is included in the IUPUI Psychology Department's Honors Program.
Your Capstone Class
Not all psychology departments require a capstone class and not all that do require a capstone provide their students with a choice of three capstone experiences like our department does. To discover what a capstone class is and to understand which capstone to take and when to take it, read Your Capstone Class and go to the Psychology Capstone Website.
