Get an Early Start on APA Style
Printer Friendly Version

It is best to read the basics of APA style before you start writing so that you can format your pages according to the style and save time and grief toward the end, when you are likely to be pressured for time.  The APA manual can be found at the Reference Desk on the second floor of the library. The reference is Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (1994, 4th edition, or 2001, 5th edition). APA: Washington, D. C.

The easiest way to use this book is to go to the ‘manuscript’ section/color tab and see an example of a manuscript. Inserted within the model manuscript are the section numbers for each type of style you may need, such as references within text, headings and subheadings, abstract, etc.
