Well, you've gotten to
the final step of the Capstone experience, and it certainly
is the 'capstone' of the course to showcase the work
you've done to your classmates and to do so in a professional
manner.
Poster presentations are the most common format for
researchers to share their research with their peers.
The advantage of poster presentations is that they allow
many researchers who do similar work to share their
findings in a self-paced environment. At professional
conferences, poster presentations occur by subject area,
and are hung on (typically) 4 by 8 feet pedestals in
rows where people walk through and read the posters
and ask the researcher questions.

So how do you prepare a poster? This comprehensive
tutorial prepared by Jeff Radel, Ph.D. of the University
of Kansas Medical Center is a great reference.
